AdeptiCon 2025 was a good year for reveals. The Space Wolves got a full Army Set refresh, the Grey Knights Dreadknight got an overdue update, and GW announced a Return to Armageddon Crusade book. Here’s the breakdown.
Space Wolves Army Set
The biggest reveal at AdeptiCon 2025 was the new Space Wolves Army Set — a complete collection of newly sculpted miniatures for the Sons of Russ. This is the first major refresh the Space Wolves have received in the current edition, and Games Workshop went all in.
The set features entirely new kits for several iconic Space Wolves units:
- Blood Claws — The hot-headed young warriors of the Chapter, now with dynamic new poses that capture their aggressive fighting style
- Grey Hunters — The backbone of any Space Wolves force, updated with modern proportions and detail
- Wolf Guard Headtakers — Elite veterans with a savage new look
- Wolf Guard Battle Leaders — Highly customizable character models with multiple weapon and head options
- Wolf Priests — The spiritual leaders of the Chapter, combining the roles of Chaplain and Apothecary
The Army Set also includes a Codex Supplement: Space Wolves, packed with lore, army rules, datasheets, and Crusade content specific to the Chapter. For Space Wolves players who have been waiting for a refresh, this set is exactly what the Allfather ordered. You can find this set alongside every other major release in our Warhammer 40k Army Boxes by Year roundup.
Grey Knights Dreadknights
Beyond the Space Wolves, Games Workshop revealed upgraded Grey Knights Dreadknights — the towering walker suits piloted by the secretive daemon-hunting Chapter. The new kit appears to bring the Dreadknight in line with the increased detail and scale of modern 40k miniatures, addressing a model that many players felt was due for an update.
Return to Armageddon
Games Workshop also announced ”Return to Armageddon”, a new Crusade expansion book. Armageddon is one of the most iconic warzones in Warhammer 40k lore — the site of three massive wars between the Imperium and Ork Warlord Ghazghkull Thraka. This book promises narrative campaigns set on the war-torn world, giving players a structured way to fight through one of 40k’s most famous conflicts.
The Space Wolves refresh in particular shows GW’s commitment to giving each Chapter its own dedicated kits rather than generic Space Marine bodies with upgrade sprues. Good year for the Sons of Russ.
