Today we unbox the Heroes of the First Company — a now out-of-print collector’s box containing all 10 Space Marine Heroes Series 2 Terminators in one set.
What’s in the Box?
Heroes of the First Company was a limited release that gathered the complete set of Space Marine Heroes Series 2 into a single box. Instead of hunting down each model individually through blind buys, this set gave collectors all 10 Terminators at once — a huge relief for anyone who didn’t want to gamble on duplicates.
The box includes the following Terminators, each representing a veteran of the Blood Angels’ elite 1st Company:
- Brother-Captain Donato — Combi-weapon and power fist with iron halo
- Brother-Sergeant Victorno — Thunder hammer and storm shield
- Brother-Sergeant Phaello — Storm bolter
- Brother Aramus — Thunder hammer and storm shield
- Brother Darrago — Storm bolter and Company Ancient banner
- Brother Dyrael — Storm bolter, power fist, and servo skull
- Brother Ebellius — Cyclone missile launcher
- Brother Feurran — Assault cannon
- Brother Maeklus — Storm bolter and power fist
- Brother Sanyctus — Lightning claws
All models are push-fit and come in a red-tinted plastic that looks great even unpainted. Each Terminator has its own unique pose and character, making the full set an impressive display piece when assembled together.
Why This Box Matters
The Heroes of the First Company set was one of the better value propositions Games Workshop offered for collectors, much like the annual Battleforce and Army boxes that have become a holiday tradition. Getting all 10 models without the randomness of blind boxes meant you could plan your painting and army building around the complete squad. For Blood Angels players in particular, this was a ready-made Terminator squad with a Captain to lead them.
The sculpt quality across the range is consistently high. These aren’t generic poses — each brother has personality, from Promethor’s sweeping heavy flamer stance to Nero’s aggressive thunder hammer swing.
Is It Still Available?
Unfortunately, no. This box has been out of print for some time, and prices on the secondary market have climbed accordingly. If you see one at a reasonable price, it’s worth snapping up. The individual blind-box models still turn up at hobby shops and online, but finding the complete set in one purchase is increasingly rare.
